The working principle of a wet dust collector!
2023/12/01 184

Dust pollution is an issue that cannot be ignored in industrial production processes. To effectively control and reduce dust emissions, wet dust collectors, as important environmental protection equipment, are widely used in various industrial fields. Today, Tenzon Environment will explain the working principle of wet dust collectors and discuss their advantages and limitations in practical applications.

I. Working Principle of Wet Dust Collector

A wet dust collector, also known as a water dust collector, is a device that achieves dust removal through the interaction between water and dust. Its basic principle involves bringing dust-laden gas into close contact with a liquid (usually water), utilizing functions such as inertial collision, adsorption, or mixing of water with dust to separate dust particles from the gas.

The working process of a wet dust collector typically includes the following steps:

Gas Inlet: Dust-laden gas first enters the inlet of the wet dust collector.

Cyclone and Spraying: Once inside the cyclone separator, the gas forms a high-speed vortex, enabling dust particles to achieve better contact with liquid water. Simultaneously, water mist or water film sprayed by the spraying device further enhances the contact between dust particles and water molecules.

Dust Sedimentation: Under the action of inertial collision, adsorption, etc., dust particles combine with water molecules to form larger particles, which then settle into the dust removal tank.

Gas Emission: The gas, after dust removal treatment, is discharged from the exhaust port, meeting environmental emission standards.

II. Advantages of Wet Dust Collector

Excellent Dust Removal Effect: Wet dust collectors operate in a wet state, with a large contact area between dust particles and water molecules, facilitating easy sedimentation. Therefore, they exhibit good dust removal performance.

High Safety: Wet dust collectors do not generate sparks or high temperatures during the dust removal process, avoiding safety hazards such as fires and explosions.

Broad Applicability: Wet dust collectors are suitable for removing various dust particles, especially effective in controlling fine dust and harmful gases.

Tenzon Tenzon Environment provides on-site operational training and routine inspection training to ensure the efficient operation of the system and effectively prevent potential safety hazards. Adopting a project manager responsibility system, equipped with dedicated safety personnel, installation personnel hold valid licenses, strictly follow SOP operating procedures, and perform off-site cleanup after successful installation and commissioning.
